Cardinia Waters Community Group, a resident-led volunteer group based at the Cardinia Waters Village, where 20 members actively manage the bushland surrounding the wetlands. The group coordinate volunteer work including planting, weeding, pruning, and habitat restoration.
Activities focus on improving wetland health, controlling foxes, and supporting local wildlife, including a rich biodiversity of birdlife and the threatened Growling Grass Frog. The group collaborates with village management and community members to plan future projects, enhance biodiversity, and maintain water quality.
Through hands-on care and environmental stewardship, Cardinia Waters Landcare fosters community engagement, strengthens local ecosystems, and ensures the wetlands remain a vibrant, safe, and welcoming habitat for wildlife and residents alike.
