Established in 2005, the Jindivick Landcare Group promotes sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship across Jindivick and surrounding districts including Drouin West, Drouin, Rokeby, Bravington, and Neerim South. Located in a high-rainfall dairy region with rolling pasture and pockets of native bushland, the group helps protect significant species such as the threatened Strzelecki gum and platypus habitat along the Tarago River and its tributaries.

Jindivick Landcare supports landholders through community education, field days, tree planting, pest animal and weed management, and applying for environmental grants. Recent projects include a rabbit management field day with the Victorian Rabbit Action Network, the “Hunt for the Giants” big-tree survey, and large-scale revegetation events powered by community volunteers. The group collaborates with neighbouring Landcare groups, schools, and local partners to strengthen landscape resilience.
